The Peppermill is a peaceful place that is both warm and inviting. Sitting on an acre of quiet & quaint, we’re located in what we like to refer to as little “Mayberry”.
Lamoni, Iowa is a tight knit community that has a lot of history, and lots of fine people. It’s a small town that when you’re lucky enough to stop by, you will feel you’ve stepped back in time. A time when the world was slower paced, happier, and relaxed.
Lots of folks will think the B&B stands for Bed & Breakfast but it actually stands for Boo & Belle… the innkeepers.
(Just kidding!) We really will have beds & breakfast for you!?
Boo & Belle are outgoing Texans ready to show you Southern hospitality and cater to your every whim!
Boo is a hard-worker, has a fabulous sense of humor, is a handy man, and loves to give & give! Boo retired from Dow Chemical and a short stint with the City of Austin. In his dedicated and committed extra time, he rode with B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and served as a CASA (child advocate) for many years. Now, he just follows Belle’s orders. (A much harder job indeed!)
Belle has a love of cooking & baking, along with entertaining (one of her trademarks). In her previous life, she owned and operated her own interior decorating business and you will see that flair when you step into the Peppermill. Her creative side includes a love and background in architecture. In her spare time she loves woodworking, decorating & restoring furniture.
Boo & Belle share a love of people, which is evident when you’re around them.
They invite you to experience their relaxing B&B, their beautiful community, and the history around the area. Whether you just want a weekend getaway or are traveling through, you’re in for some spoilin’!
